Tewkesbury School in lockdown after adult suffers stab wound. Police say they were called on Monday morning after a report that a pupil had stabbed a teacher.

If anyone cites we have made progress from when I was at school they need taking outside and shooting. Bleeding hearts and SJW's have an excuse for everything. The medical profession seems hell bent on making up mental or physical illnesses to excuse kids behaviour. The alphabet soup people are coming in from the otherside trying to undermine the social fabric of society and kids sexuality.

And now we have kids stabbing teachers. I suppose I shouldn't be suprised and I'm sure we will hear the excuses trotted out about why the kid should be comforted and not blamed etc.

I really really do not understand todays values in the west. Go to Singapore and see how to run a society. Clean citys, very little drugs, low crime. Why? because you fcuk up there they birch you, fine you stupid amounts for dropping litter and hang you if you deal in drugs. Draconian, maybe, but only if you do something to warrant it.

There again, as people often tell me, I'm a dinosaur wanting the past and living in the present.

The 2 genders or not 2 genders 'debate' reminds me of those silly evolution or god debates/choices schools in the US make.

It's a completely false equivalence, even a false dichotomy in the latter case.

One side is evidence based and the other 'emotionally based'.

As soon as sensible folk start entertaining/debating the other side it gives them some sort of credibility or impression thereof.

Back on message though - my kids school recently had a 'lockdown drill' for this very scenario. I pointed out how unlikely such a situation was... now it's happened a mere 50 miles away. Really easy to just walk into my kids secondary school though so they do need to sort out their security.

I don’t get why an incident such as this has to lead to collective hand-wringing and “What have we become?” narratives.

Any single incident is just that, a single incident, not necessarily a symptom of anything.

Did anyone react to the Moors Murders in this way? Lord Lucan? Joyce McKinney? Fred & Rose? Did any of their crimes reflect societal norms of their day? I doubt it.

Humanity by definition encompasses the very best and worst of human nature.

We all assume the pupil is the wrongdoer here. What if it turns out the teacher was asking for it? There were a couple I encountered during my school days who I would just as happily kick in the nuts as shake their hand if I ever met them again.

this weekend i saw a (probably) government sponsored advert saying get into teaching, its nice 'n rewarding.
today thats get undone with some stabby stabby.

i wouldnt be a teacher, because those rosy kids in the advert arent the ones in london. In london, its one teacher, 3 TA's due to "difficult" kids, and probably 5 translators...and each kid in that specific class is at a different developmental stage in that subject, so how can you teach a class...you're teaching 30 lessons to 30 pupils (or...more) in 5 langauages and each one has their mom/dad/uncle just waiting in the background to write a shitty letter about something you said, or did...or didnt say or do..

Is it just me who surprised to see that it's a male teacher? I thought they'd been all but heckled out of the profession
completely by gnarly feminist women. On a side note a quick check reveals just over 6% of Tewkesbury residents
were born overseas. Bearing in mind the age of the stabber it's pretty safe to say that they won't be named or
described in the press and the whole thing will be covered up although the Police are keeping an open mind as to
whether or not it's terror related which IMO speaks volumes. Perhaps it's a middle eastern, middle aged, bearded
dinghy 'child'. I truly don't think we'll ever find out, especially as it wasn't a fatal stabbing unless maybe a parent
of a child who witnessed the stabbing first hand speaks out on the subject. The Government have been sprinkling
boat people everywhere just of late, presumably to blight everybody equally or it could be just that they're running
out of hotels as the influx increases in the warmer summer months.
