I agree, it looks lovely but if I'm spending 15 grand plus on a motorcycle it's got to have a bit more to it than just nice looks.

Edited to add - Where’s it all made? Most of the time that means we make everything we can as close to home as we can. In other cases, that means bringing in the best components for the job.

and the most important bit....

International Suppliers
Components made internationally

Light System
Speedo & Tach (Austria)
Calipers and master cylinder
Engine
Air Filter
Carburetor
IKON Suspension (Australia)

Made in where? I presume be China or they would have said if anywhere else. A pity as it is a very very nice bike.

The retro look is interesting
but it's a bitsa and way too expensive IMO

The engine is based on the Honda XR and made in China for an Italian company who supply it to a US company...........

It's probably a better bike than the tarted up chinese 125s
by Mutt etc but still a niche machine.
I cant help wonder what it will be like after the warranty expires and you've put a lot of miles on it and have to start searching for parts.

Sorry to be a fanboi but Royal Enfield are doing a better job at targeting this style and at a better price too.

If I was buying something like that, it would need to have a longitudinal inline 4.

Don't get it..

Weedy Jap clone motor in a Brough (or Vintage Indian) wannabe rolling chassis.

Incongruous at best.

As I was alluding to before, it looks a bit like a Henderson. But without the wacky engine.

I have one, and it’s brilliant fun. Stupid sized fuel tank, but other than that I love it. I keep idly thinking about getting another bike but when I look at what’s out there I come back to the FTR, might as well just get another one …

The styling is nice; it's a shame the engine is, at best, an afterthought.

Anyone paying that sort of money for something with a nasty old Chinese clone motor at its heart has more money than sense IMO.

It's not a Buell. Buell was the only decent Brand 'Murica had, and Harley got scared and ditched it. What a crime.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

The Henderson-esque bitsa will be 15 grand to buy then instantly depreciate to 10 grand once it's used.

I could buy three Brit classics for that money and still have a better
part acquiring experience due to the cult following of most of them.

I just found genuine Henderson for a grand less I'd rather have

Ah, but the new bike would work, so you wouldn't need parts. Thinking

The Janus bikes are an interesting concept, but as Polarbear stated, they are a pretty expensive style statement. I believe they are made in Indiana, and the motor/transmission units are indeed Cast Here In North America (China for short). They have been in business for a few years now, and were a big sponsor (pre Covid) of MotoGP broadcasts on television in the USA. I have yet to see one on the road. You'd think that there is enough disposable income in the Silicon Valley that there would be a number of these bikes out cruising about; not on the roads I frequent. Probably turning heads down at Starbucks. Cool
