Hey all! My motorcycle (Suzuki GSF/ Bandit 650 2010) got stolen a month back, and I’ve finally managed to get it running after installing a new ignition. Only other issue is, they damaged the fuel tank when prying open the cap.

I’ve been browsing the internet for a month, and not a single fuel tank has appeared.

Does anyone know if this is something a welder could do? And how much would it cost?

Any advice is appreciated! As it’s already a bit of a tough time.

You would need a donor tank to replicate the damage so pointless. It would take some considerable fabrication skill to replicate that.

You would also need to find a welder that really knows what they are doing because welding even an empty tank is dangerous.

Various tanks will fit your bike.

If you can find a donor tank off a different model the filler assembly could be cut out and then welded into your tank. You can make a petrol tank safe to weld by running car exhaust fumes through it for a few minutes.

You could probably get the lock changed to fit your ignition key too if you take it to a decent locksmith.
