* Decent size dunnies up and downstairs, nothing worse than busting for a wee and having to go up (or down)stairs to get there ... not one of those pokey little ones under the stairs.
* En-suite off my bedroom but with a door for privacy when going for a dump.
* walk-in shower but a decent sized bath as well, if there was space.
* A hot tub sounds like a good idea but TBH if it was an option, I'd rather have a covered extension with a swimming pool, big enough so you could do proper lengths.
* Glass wherever possible to catch the sun of course, but I'm not much of a sun worshipper, so it would only be for relaxing on warm days, not baking on hot ones.
* I'd want shade as well, but then the garden would be my department - that would be a given - so some shady areas with ponds and water trickling. But lots of space for plants and flowers.
I watched an episode of Cribs once when it was Pamela Anderson, who TBH I had never rated much, but she had her bathroom outside in a separate room like a garden shed - it was glorious, roses growing all around, as well as inside - and a totally luxurious bathroom.
Also ... balconies are vastly underrated for multi-level houses - just somewhere nice to sit out with coffee in the morning. Even in a ground-level house you can have a verandah or a little terrace with a pergola. ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |
