Actually, I checked around with other experienced track day riders and everyone said first try it the way it is and go from there.

Honestly, the gap is so big a few parts won't make that much of a difference. If you make the engine notably stronger the already overwhelmed brakes and suspension won't cut it anymore and then you go from one thing to the next.

It was fun, though
