As in the title....

Child serial killer Lucy Letby to face retrial over attempted murder charge

Details in the link below.

Now don't get me wrong. She deserves everything thats coming to her but she's alread convicted with a whole life order. She's never going to get out so I don't see the point of wasting what will be millions in the off chance she gets convicted this time that will make absolutly no difference to what happens to her.

Everyone whos kid died at her hands has closure despite the failure to get some convictions. The jury knew she was guilty and she got what she deserved irrespective of some technicalities.

Just seems a pretty pointless excercise for everyone.

Well, you are not the one in prison for the rest of your life.

I am glad we live in a country where convicted people have the right and ability to appeal and request re-trials. The alternative to spending some £££ is far worse.

No, the retrial is not for her getting off. It's in addition to what she has already been convicted of.

Perhaps you should read and comprehend before you spout forth. I would never be against the appeal process, This is nothing to do with that.

She's crackers, but going through the motions might uncover as to why the NHS system allowed this to happen, and thus avoid it happening again

Meh, point still stands. What do you propose instead?

Sometimes the law is pushed for the sake of the law and not a defendant.

Funny thing law. It's like it has no real rules.
