I see myself as an old grey git hiding under a helmet. Others see me as James Dean obviously.

Basically like to think of myself as a bearded Ogri.

Although probably viewed as something more akin to a train spotter on wheels.

I am far too cool to even nod at anyone.
Even when broken down and sat on the side of the road for hours. Laughing

Well, that really depends doesn't it?

If you ask the miserable lonely pensioner down my road I'm a noisy nuisance every time I come past with my bike barely off tickover.

If you ask my mates I probably need to grow up.

If you ask my mates little lad I'm some awesome power ranger superhero dude with my motorbike.

If you ask my mum I'm on my way to ending up in a hedge.

And if you ask the man on the street you'll hear all sorts - some right, most wrong.

The reality is I'm just another bloke doing what I can to extract moments of fleeting happiness from this life, clinging to the outlet that has long provided a route to turn off the intrusive thoughts and process the stresses in life.

So I may have an idea what people can think but the reality is I don't actually care and hopefully never will.

Oh how I hate change.. these were the days I remember. I've no clue who these actual people are BUT in the 70s/80s that's what 90% of bikers looked like (so young too) and I was delighted to be a minor part in that scene for a few years.. It's how I still like to be thought of.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I keep trying to extoll the virtues of motorcycling (even scooters!) to my younger friends but the lad next door with the R125 is the only person under... <gulp> 50 I know who's into bikes.

I imagine I look decidedly uncool in middle age in my Kevlar jeans and ancient leather jacket; plus my taste in bikes/scooters has always been what other people regard as 'odd', so I'm well used to the contemptuous comments of Real Bikers (TM). Whatever the reality, I genuinely don't care.

Never shave your nutsack, I tried that once, was like it was being stung by a thousand hornets after a couple of days.

Plus when I put the frilly lingerie on under my one piece leather race suit, it felt a bit fruity.
