I'm not sure which is funnier in this screenshot, the fact that the Daily Mail made a funny typo ... or Clarkson's afro.

The BBC apologised.
That is at least something.

They are still to apologise for Savile, Starr and Harris.

Harris, Flintoff, McGuinness are the best trio since JC's lineup (Chris Evans was awful and Rory Reid was dull as dishwater), but I still got bored and stopped watching Top Gear.

I wasn't aware of the 'slope controversy'. Gotta say that's surprisingly clever for Clarkson.

I wonder who decides what is derogatory?

How about 'Paddy' for Irish of 'Taff' for Welsh? etc.. should I be offended if I'm referred to as a 'white honky'?
I've never thought to be although it's usage didn't often escape the confines of 'Love thy Neighbour' to be fair.

You’d assume Flintoff’s £10 million compo was an insurance payout but they don’t say that. Instead the BBC says it’s just not licence money because Top Gear is made by ‘BBC Studios’, a commercial subsidiary. If the licence payer doesn’t benefit from the commercially successful programmes, who does?

I like Freddie, but choosing not to wear a helmet driving at 130 mph in a three wheeler you might expect him to shoulder some responsibility.
We don't know what he will do with the 10 mill yet perhap some will be directed towards philanthropic acts?

I think he was obliged to wear an open face helmet so the camera could see his expressions.

If it was "I wanna wear an F1 helmet" and the producers are "no, you need to wear a Deliveroo helmet" then he deserves every penny.
