Gaza have come up with a ceasefire plan.
It would stop hostilities for 4 months.

Back story.
Hamas are being hammered into non-existence by the IDF's retaliation for the atrocities commited by Hamas on civilians in Israel on 7 October last year.

Hamas are still holding hostages that they abducted on that day.

Now they want the IDF to lay stand-down so Hamas can reload.

They are probably hoping that Israel will be reasonable.

Extermination of everyone who demands the slaughter of Jewish people would allow a tangible ceasefire.

Labour not willing to dump an anti semitic candidate because it's too late to replace him and they want that seat. But hey, he's apologised so all's tickety boo in Kiers garden.

Labour has defended standing by its candidate in the Rochdale by-election, despite his remarks about Israel.

Oh, it seems Labour is cutting its losses.......

Labour says it has “withdrawn support” for Rochdale by-election candidate Azhar Ali after his comments on Israel.

The party said the decision was taken after "new information about further comments" by Mr Ali came to light.

Israel aren't going to stop while any of the hostages are still being held and why should they. Hamas, the legal government of Gaza openly attacked Israel. That's the same as a declaration of war from one country to another.

I would like to think that if a few hundered British people were taken hostage by someone we would go in to rescue them and make sure they were never capable of taking any hostages again, but we all know that wouldn't happen with the wet weekends that we have as politicians.

Nobby makes a good point though. Israel have taken over the Palestinians land and are demanding that they dont fight back. It seems a little weird to say the least.

Imagine WW2 - the Germans take Britain, then demand we dont fight back. Then call us terrorists for doing so.

That statement makes no sense. America and the Soviets invaded Germany at the end of WW2 and don't recall anyone saying "hold up, we should ask for a ceasefire" they just rolled the tanks into Berlin.

Palestinian Lands?

What page of history was that on?

There was an agreement by the UN in 1948.


The Israelis accepted, the 'Palestinians' rejected.

The Palestinians then set about each other ina civil war.
Israel assumed control of the territory it was given by thebUN and began defending that territory from the terrorist organisation of the PLO.
Since then, Israel have been bombed continuously without let up by their neighbours.

Important points to consider:

The UNITED NATIONS agreement appointed the lands to the Israelis. The United Nations. Not the Jews.
The Palestinian people are an example of civil disobedience and belligerence.

Israel will NOT ceasefire until hamas is snuffed out.

Because the United Nations have done nothing to ensure that there is peace in the region.
The UN have done NOTHING to prevent hamas building up weapons, building underground defences and indoctrination children to the ways of hatred for Jews.

So ceasefire my arse.

Smite Hamas. More likely than not.

Hamas are a terrorist group.

We should not have to negotiate with terrorist ideologies.

I'm pretty sure there was more to it than that and they "assumed control" of rather more than the UN had suggested.
