Hey,

I have recently had my A2 license revoked. I have spoken to the DVSA and they have said the only legal requirements to regain my license is to do CBT, Theory, and both Mod 1 and Mod 2. Ive done my cbt and theory, just both mods left.

However,

Does anyone know if anywhere will do just both mod 1 and mod 2 without having to fork out for the entire course again. Or has anyone heard of someone having the same problem?

So, you've managed to get 6 points. What did you do?

You don't need to take the courses but you need to get insured on a suitable vehicle which is difficult as a learner.

I managed to get 6 points for a single speeding offence btw. My insurance went down with the 9 points I had.

Been there, done that.

Licence revoked?
You have to resit the whole lot again.
cbt, mod 1and 2 and theory.

CBT is not a licence, just a training cert.

Most training centres will be able to sort out this for you.
So start phoning around.

6 points on a new license?

Are you sure that you are cut out for a motorcycle life?

Maybe as a pillion. Razz

As said, get on the phone.

And when you get your licence back, don't be a dique.

I got caught speeding on my provisional and was given 3 points, which were transferred over to my A2 license. I then got done for riding without due care and attention, which again I was given 3 points and my license revoked.

How did you insurance go down with the points?

So did you have to pay the absurd amount for the mod 1 and 2 training or did they allow you to just sit the tests?

How it went down is I added the points on my account on a comparison site anda few quotes were less than the previous year.

What my esteemed forum member is trying to say is you get to a certain age and the points don't have any impact. Certainly not for a basic speeding offence.

Due care and attention, that's a bit different though. Did you wheelie past the fuzz and flip them the bird?

He's probably Welsh and was caught doing 22mph Laughing

I would have thought there would be training schools willing to cut down the course if you ask them. A bit of extra training cant hurt though.

though.

Little off topic but was commuting home a few mornings ago and guy behind was beeping me, flashing, shouting out his window etc. All I was doing was 22 in a 20 Smile Didnt have the energy to respond after a busy night shift so all he got was a well-hidden smirk and shake of the head as I turned off.

Mate, when I was clapping a Welsh birds cheeks last year that was one thing that pissed me off was the 20mph everywhere.

I went up around Llantrisant and Pontypridd area and there were speed camera vans all around the place. There's a road that goes from Llantrisant to Beddau and there was one there and then again from the road that goes from Beddau to Church Village and then again on the road from Church Village to Pontypridd.

Fuck driving in Wales.

Coz the Welsh are mental and don't give two fcuks for the police.

Ever since defeat by Saxon Scum at the Battle of Chester.
(And rightly so, 'k'n Saxons.)

Do you have a car license as well?

If you take any test you regain all. Might be an easier route, 2 tests, rather than 4.

A mate at work who was on 3 points and with 3 months to go until 2 years, actually stopped driving as he was too worried, got his girlfriend to drive everywhere.

It's not an extended test situation. The licence was revoked. It's as if the tests were never taken so you have to start from scratch.
