How much tread is there on a brand new tyre.

Just out of curiosity really but how much tread is typically on a brand new tyre?

I know there are a lot of different tyres out there for many different situations and they have different tread depths and patterns etc and I've seen my fair share of tyres over the years but I've never seen the actual tread depth listed or even a half decent specification sheet?

I'm sure that depends on the intended use of the tyre. In order of ascension, racing tyres have the least amount of tread, sport bike tyres a little more, all-weather tyres more yet, and off-road tyres the most.
