Hi everyone
Would consider to book a self-guided tour? What are the pros and cons in case you already did?
Thanks!

Pro: you get provided with predefined routes, and your accomodation is sorted out in advance for every night of the tour.

Con: you get provided with predefined routes, and your accomodation is sorted out in advance for every night of the tour.

Never heard of it.
Unless one of the bike pack suggests something daft like, 'Let's go to Applecross on the bikes this weekend."

And you get there and its feckin' heavin' with kunts in kamper-vans.

TripAdvisor and Google maps and some idea what part of the kuntry you fancy visiting.

Then stay off the motorway to get there.

Look for roadworks etc. Take holiday traffic into consideration too.

The road from The Far Cuillins, Isle of Skye to Glasgow was 100% polluted by Kunts in Kamper-vans yesterday. Much of Skye has single track-roads, and hardly any kunts understand single-track-road etiquette.
Shouting 'Fuk off back to Europe' at them, as one passes them helps a lot.

Thanks!

I've done a few self guided tours as well guided toursbefore.

Pros are: they give you full flexibility over your itinerary and pace. You can linger where you want without being rushed. It also saves money versus guided tours.

The cons are you miss out on expert context from a guide. You'll need to do more planning up front like making reservations. You also don't have someone there if you have any questions along the way. You can read about the pros and cons of having a guide from here https://gowithguide.com/blog/hiring-a-guide-in-spain-pros-cons-5689

In short if you can spend some extra bucks go for guided tours or go for self guided tours.
