Explains where the driver could be considered liable if the vehicle they are driving is involved in an accident or causes damage/injury to a third party.
Even if they never worked on the vehicle.

I thought this was allegedly part of the driving test these days too?
But I've always worked on the assumption that it is the operator's responsibility to ensure that any vehicle under their control us in a roadworthy condition, and they are personally liable for any defect that may cause an accident - i.e. "it had a service 3 months ago" is not a valid defence.
I'm old enough to understand the phrase 'personal responsibility " though... ____________________ Any and all advice given should not be followed - if you have to ask it means you don't know so get a man in to do it for you. |
