Hi guys

So I'm looking at buying a locking tank bag for a Yamaha R6 2005, I've seen lots available from Givi but are advertised as only suitable for the 2006-2007 model bike. After contacting Givi I got point blank no it won't fit the 2005, so I'm confused as to why. Assuming Yamaha won't change the shape/style of the fuel cap for just one model as there all the same I can't see a problem.

Has anyone fitted here fiited one of these tanklock bags to a 2005 model and if not anyone know what the difference is between the years.
