Just had a
2016 Forza 125 EFI dropped off to me
Mileage 61000 (mostly Deliveroo miles btw)
The eml light behaves normally and isnt flashing any fault codes
yet the throttle reponse is erratic.
It starts well enough on tickover but I can open the throttle and get no
response but when I back it off it can suddenly shoot up to max revs
at a particular position.
It doesn't have a seperate TPS but a 'sensor set'
part number 16060K35V01 the same as the PCX125
a combined tps, air inlet temp, and air flow sensor I believe

I suspect this is failing but with no fault codes showing can only guess

I did remove it and squirt switch cleaner in all the nooks and crannies
and its slightly better but still erratic

Any ideas suggestions?

Update:
I just remembered I actually have the Forza factory service manual on PDF
Oops!, I'd forgotten I had that. Embarassed
RTFM time and it failed the resistance test which supports my theory/guess and a new one has been ordered hope that sorts it.
I'm still surprised it didn't throw up any fault codes though

Maybe it just thought you were fannying about with the throttle?

Well a new sensor set responded to the static test and got it running properly again.
'Real bikers' may be sneering cos its just poxy scooter but the point is
its PGM-FI and so applies from a poxy scooter up to any Honda vehicle using PGM-FI

My theory is the ECU didn't throw up fault code because it had a constant signal
which corresponded to a closed throttle so a fault condition wasn't triggered or logged.

A standalone TPS is easy to static test with meter but anyone with a sensor set type (TPS/IAT/IAP)
would be helped with a pinout of the devices connector to know which pins to check.
