I've currently got an automatic only A1 motorcycle license and I am looking to do my full A motorbike test on a manual bike.

Does anyone know if I need a CBT in order to do the full test?

Normally with an A1 license, you don't, but since mine is automatic only, I can't find any information. It would seem stupid for me to have to do a CBT especially since I've spoken to a CBT centre and they refused me because I already have an auto A1 and thus would make no sense to get 'basic' training again...

I haven't done A1/A2/A new tests.

But I did my CBT on an auto and did my tests in a manual. There was no stipulation of restriction in that sense.

No, if you have already passed the motorcycle test on a different category machine there is no need to repeat CBT. CBT is for provisional license holders.

You have a full licence for one of the A sub categories, so, you don't need CBT, but, just to confuse you, you do need a valid theory.

Bizarrely you don't need a theory test when going from A1 to A2, or A2 to A, but do when going from A1 to A.
