Hi, first post on here!

I bought a 2002 Honda CG125, but on closer inspection I realised that the bike is missing the nut that's supposed to hold on the torque arm to the rear drum brake.

I'd like to know what size/type of nut I need to order, and if there's anything else missing like a washer perhaps?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I cant find this information for the life of me, and don't currently have the Haynes manual.

Thanks!

https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cg125-1995-s-england_model2608/partslist/F__1000.html You can see the assembly in the attached drawing. The bolt is special; shoulder where it goes through the rear brake housing, with a hole for a cotter pin that prevents the nut from backing off. Drawing depicts a 2002 Honda CG125.

The nut itself is just a standard M8 hex nut though.

I'd imagine the bolt is still there? On my previous small Hondas, it's been a very tight fit in the hub and is usually galled into the alloy, it would usually need to be hammered out (if you had any reason to want to remove it).

As above, someone clearly forgot to re-fit it because it should have a split-pin through the bolt preventing the nut from coming off. A large diameter M8 washer (looks like form C from the picture )and a rubber washer under the nut.

According to that cmsnl fiche
8 is a rubber washer
(M6 will do as it will deform and stretch over the shoulder)
12 is an M6 washer
15 is an M6 nut
19 is a 2mm x 15mm split pin
all very common

It's an M8, not M6

Thanks for the help M8's Wink

Is it worth paying the £15 shipping fee from cmsnl?
Seems a bit much to pay almost £26 for items that are like £6.50 together lol

Any UK retailers that might stock them perhaps?

I think the snapped off split pin is still in the end of the bolt. You should be able to drift it out with a fine punch because it'll be soft steel.
