how do i fill her crack?

im intending to paint the brickwork in the wenches patio when the weather warms up a bit.
theres a bit of a gap between the bricks where the patio joins the house.
whats the best/easiest way to fill the gap before i paint?

Fill her crack with caulk.

At least, that's what I'd use but I'm no expert.

Its about a tenner a tube but good stuff

What WD Forte said. Or any decent quality low modulus builder's silicone sealant.

As others have said, a good quality caulk should do the job on the interior part of the crack. The outside area of the crack will need to be sealed against the elements with a good quality silicone sealant.
DO NOT USE SILICONE SEALANT ON THE INSIDE AREA AS PAINT WILL NOT ADHERE TO CURED SILICONE.

That's a big-ish crack she's got there. its been filled before but it's widened by the looks of things. That dwarf wall should have been tied in to the house wall somehow but I suspect it wasn't plus (possibly) insubstantial footings suggests its moved away..

I would think on the outside you'd wantto use mortar and I see you can now get these things to hopefully make teh job easier.

Longer term.. I'd be checking for other cracks on the wall and try and see how deep the footings are.

Putting mortar outside is fine if there's no movement
Otherwise I'd use sikaflex type stuff inside and out as it
sticks like shit to a blanket and sets semi flexible/hardish
and can be painted over.
