Wheel Bearing Clearance - C3

I read recently that it's preferred to use bearings with a larger (C3) clearance for motorcycle wheels.. Anyone else heard that? Doesn't seem to make much difference in price but I'm now curious.

Then: Fizz, RS200, KL250, XJ550, Laverda Alpina, XJ600, FZS600

They'll be more tolerant of heat with them being a high speed bearing, although if your wheel bearings are getting hot, it's probably less than ideal.

Also they're grease lubricated so there's more room for the grease to move about inside the races.

Not a place where you need a very precise location/runout (comparatively speaking) so why not use the higher clearance.

I doubt it would take any harm if you just used standard clearance though.

Ah for a wheel bearing I just buy the cheapest. 6302? About £1 each, or less in bulk buy
