I have a honda cg125 2003, I bought the bike a month ago got it running after a new battery and other minor fixes however whilst riding back from mot centre the bike has lost all drive wont pull in any gear and has a terrible knocking, took casing apart found the clutch spring plate had snapped. I have since replaced the clutch basket including new plates and spring plate, put the clutch casing back together and now the clutch will not disengage ( as in as if the lever is pulled in constantly)
The bike will go into all gears when clutch is out and will not pull at all however there is resistance when rocking the bike back and forth as if it was in gear with the engine off.
I am stumped as its my first time owning a bike this old.

To sum up clutch is always engaged regardless of adjustments.

Any help is appreciated

I'd be squinting at an exploded parts view and seeing if something went missing during the reassembly process. Either that or you haven't got the clutch cable slack properly adjusted.

If you do need to take things apart again it wouldn't hurt to drop the oil and remove the clutch cover and then eyeball the clutch pack while working the lever.

there is a little ball bearing at the end of the pushrod. some people forget to put it back in.

Parts list is here: https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cg125-2001-1-general-export-kph_model2598/partslist/E__0601.html

I think it's the right year, but I get confused with CGs. Long life span, many models, and sometimes a newer year is a step back in technology, depending on where it was made. Regardless, I doubt they changed the clutch over its lifespan.

No drive means not enough friction happening. Easiest answer would be that you left out a plate or the anti-judder springs.

I think it's only a very short little rod on this bike, I didn't see the typical ball bearing in the parts diagram.

This is a great post for illustrating the limitations of language. Robby's answer only makes sense if the clutch will not apply. For me, "lever pulled in constantly" = clutch released. "Always engaged regardless of adjustments " = clutch applied. Which is it...I am confused.
