do you buy it before you sell your current steed or hold out?

i think my bike is probably too old for a dealer to offer part ex so my only hope is a private sell.

very tempted to make an offer on some of the well priced bikes that come up occasionally but i dont want to be left with 2 bikes for any amount of time.

I add it to the collection. I rarely sell anything be it motoring, books or computers so I'm surrounded by absolute crap. Laughing

Bought it intending to fix up my outgoing bike to an acceptable level so it wouldn't immediately kill its new owner.

I accidentally delayed selling the old bike until winter rolled around again and thought I may as well keep the new bike away from the salt and I've been using the (now fixed) old bike since November.

I buy the new bike first and then just hope to sell the old one quickly. That's worked out great for the last few bikes, put them up on facebook and sold them all within a day Laughing

The alternative is to be left without a bike for a while and nobody wants that Wink

Bikes are cheapest in the winter and at a premium in late spring - buy low, sell high Smile

That aside, if you sell your old bike first you (or more likely the wife) might find something else to do with the pile of cash. Much safer to plunge yourself into debt Laughing

could control myself, found a bike offer that was just too good to refuse, and put a deposit down.
a buyer is coming to look at my current bike next week, hopefully.
i really could do with the space its taking up.
