Fortnine again with what I thought would be the typical love letter to racing 2-strokes...

Turns out the 2-stroke expansion chamber exhaust is, at the very least, inspired by the V1 pulse jet. By Current Day™ standards that makes anyone riding a 2-stroke a Nazi, and MZ owners are literally Hitler Shocked

The whole 2-stroke story gets even wierder than he explained. Both with the secondment of Kadens RT125 piston and transfer port designs at the end of the war by both the British and Soviets and with how the expansion chamber calculations found their way into Japanese hands later on.

James Bond level shit.

I always fancied a YPVS 350 or GPZ 750 Turbo as a young lad but after being on the back of both of them and having the crap scared out of me I quickly changed my mind and got a sensible H100 instead Shocked

I've had numerous 250 and 400 two smokes but the one I really wanted was the Suzuki 750 kettle. OK, no where near as mad as the Kwak H series but such a lovely lookin bike. Sadly could never afford it. The largest CC two stroke I ever had was the GT500 twin.
