From Russia, Iran, Israel, Korea, Middle East, who the fook knows where from...what are you going to do?

I'm currently saving up for a luxury tent and nice blow-up camp bed and I'm putting a few quid away as savings to support myself for at least the 1st month in another country that's reasonably warm and civilised. As soon as bombs start landing here or there are foreign soldiers and marauders fighting us on our soil I'll buy a plane ticket out of here and then destroy my passport before I land in my new country of choice where I will then claim asylum and see what happens. If they won't let me leave the airport I'll be okay living like Tom Hanks in that movie "The Terminal". No joke. There's nothing keeping me in this country anymore that I care about but I can't afford to emigrate.

Cheery.

Probably your best bet is Australia. Large enough to find a spot away from cities and military bases. Save up for a V8 Interceptor.

I'd consider that if the weather wasn't as warm over there. I prefer cooler climates mate but I do like the idea of living in the outback away from civilisation and cruising around in a muscle car like Mad Max Thumbs Up Wink

the bombs and foreign soldiers are already here and have been waging a war against British for decades.

Let them come, I couldn't care less, I very rarely go out, never mind go anywhere that is likely to be a target!

People get killed everywhere all the time, don't hear you worrying about that, it's the usual I don't care what happens to other people, but I do when it might affect me!

Well yeah, I can't lie, I am quite self centred and concerned about myself far more than I'm concerned about other people. It's called self preservation and it's not a bad outlook to have on life Shhh!

Not criticising you Thumbs Up

I gave up listening to the news years ago, it was always negative, always someone or a group of people being killed, starved, mis-treated etc ... if I were to worry about all the shit in the world which I can't control then I'd probably give up.

Governments are supposed to take care of all this shit, not the individual!

With regards to actual survival, we have enough food to last a month if there's power (freezers full of grub) or a week or two without. I have tools aplenty to fix things, gear to syphon petrol to keep the bikes goings, a shed full of parts. All I'm missing is a shotgun licence and a fishing rod I'd be all set Smile

Elan Valley for me. Already have a spot picked out.

Hopeful that our government will stop provoking the bear with 6000 nukes - before it gets to that stage. Morons.

Dont think the licence would be a pre-requisite in the end-times but yes could certainly do with some firepower to protect my kids.... and maybe the wife. If she's a good girl.

It's tricky buying a weapon ahead of time without the requisite paperwork.

Yes, although not as difficult as it should be.

I do know of 2 or 3 places I could swing by on my way to the Welsh wilderness.

For anyone that survived the initial blast it would just be a case of scavenging after that. No paperwork or licences would be required. If I wanted to stay here and hope for the best I'd pitch up somewhere remote that had deep caves (like Wookey Hole for example) and familiarise myself with where the nearest major supermarkets and supplies stores are in advance so I'd know where to go scavenging first. The nearest gun/weapon shops would also be on my radar in advance for when the dust settled Wink

I quite fancy myself as Denzel Washington in the Book of Eli Laughing

Good call. That's only about 40 miles from where I live now. I might come and visit the area if I stay in UK. I'll be floating around near the edge of the reservoirs during the daytimes if you want some company and a chat Wink Thumbs Up
