I was constantly being told my computers were too archaic and working class for Win11
and that only new hardware would make me a productive and respected member of society
Then I discovered flyby11
GitHub
https://github.com/builtbybel/Flyby11
I like they're being open about the possibility of future updates esp major releases
being tricky but for now it works a treat for me.
I've installed it on an i5 Lenovo M93P, my daily machine
a spare i5 PC and a Dell precision M6800 lappy
Only the lappy was a bit tricky but that may have been my fault for not having secure boot set up properly in BIOS
I did also install Crapfixer to remove the annoying crap that comes with windows
and Openshell to give it a classic looking menu
One caveat:
These were clean installs, not upgrades keeping exisiting settings and progs so I had all me shit backed up.
Upgrades might be possible but best RTFM first and back up anyway. ____________________ bikers smell of wee |
