Afternoon all,

That time of year has arrived again, less use of the bike and more time in the garage connected to my optimate (optimate 2 duo). I have inadvertantly started it a couple of times whilst the optimate duo 2 has been connected and powered on. The behaviour I've observed on the optimate itself after the bike has started is the red warning triangle illuminates and flashes. This carries on after the bike is turned off.

Disconnecting/powering down the optimate, then connecting to the bike again and powering on solves and no further lights illuminate. Im no electrical expect, but am I likely to have caused any damage to the bike? Its a 2024 z900.

Thanks all

You'd be more likely to damage the charger than the bike but it sounds like it has a safety cut-out.

It won’t damage the bike or optimate but you might need to disconnect and reconnect the optimate to kick it out of error mode.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
