Well, my exhaust has been damaged beyond fix, so I'm looking to replace it. I've searched the net to find one but really can't. I'm a cheap git so the cheaper the better. I've searched all the regular sites but they don't seem to stock them at the moment.

Any suggestions? Neutral

About £215 to buy from honda, you can get a sports exhaust for £170 - £240 but they are not worth it in my opinion. Keep an eye out on ebay, I think Scotty (registered on these boards) has one lying around that he has no use for?

There's a guy breaking a '99 NSr on Ebay at the moment. Proxima has the links on one of the threads in Bike Chat. Thumbs Up

Will a '98 NSR Remus Exhaust fit a 2001 NSR by any chance?

Yes. The NSR is the same design from '94-'03 so it'd fit any.

Looking at that page, from what I can gather, the £169 is just for the end can? though I may be wrong, as you cannot unbolt the endcan from the orginial exhaust so would be no use being able to buy one.

As if you look to the right it lists alloy/carbon/titanium full systems

In the full system columns there is no prices, I can't see them only doing an end can on it's own for the NSR, as you say you can't remove the end can bit so it'd be useful. Pretty much all two strokes have the exhaust and end can as a single piece so I doubt it is just the end can for £169, just clarify that point if you call them to order one.

Final Question:

Would you pay £169 for a 125 exhaust?

I paid £30 for my standard one off ebay, they do pop up now and again, I would only pay £169 if there was no other option.

I would try using Part Locator and Used Part Search before paying £169 but if I couldn't find one secondhand anywhere then unless I was able to find anywhere else doing NSR125 exhausts for less than that I wouldn't have much choice but to pay £169 if I wanted an exhaust.

What has actually happened to your original exhaust just as a matter of interest ?? Are you sure it's unrepairable ?

There's a great big hole on a part of it, and so it sounds incredibly loud when riding about.

You could probably get that welded up, take it to a local garage/engineering place. Will probably only cost you a tenner Smile
