Insurance for new rider

hi folks,

Im trying to get insurance sorted out, but my quotes are all too high.

The bikes im considering are SZR660 or ZXR400, cheapest quote I can get is £733 a year TPO =/ £1000 TPFT.

This seems a hell of a lot for a 60bhp bike.

Any idea how I can get this down?

Is that the inital quote when you ring them up and ask for a quote? You need to get a copy of Bike Trader, ring every company in the back to get quotes and once you've got the cheapest few call back around them asking if they can beat £xxx which you've been quoted elsewhere. Repear until none of them will go any lower. Will take a few hours but if someone offered you a few hundred pounds for a few hours work you'd take it I expect. Danny on here will do this for you, have a look at this post about it.
