Well, im roughly 6"4 and i find myself having trouble getting on most sports bikes, as im very long in the leg and me knees dont fit the tank, can anyone recommend a big sports bike? preferably a 400.

The only tall 400 I can think of is the Suzuki DR-Z400, its a single cylinder 400cc dual purpous on/off road traily style bike.

I think a ZZR400 would be a bit higher than a sports 400, and the ZXR is the tallest sports 400 I think,.

I'm quite tall and the only 400 I can comfortably ride is the Kawasaki ZXR400 due to my long legs.

mate i face the same problem, im getting an NSR250, not the biggest bike but its the biggest sport 250 i could find, although i fit well on an r6 and a GSXR750, but they may be out of your price or power restricted range,

BTW have a look down the pages there was a very similiar thread about a week ago!

The ZZR is supposed to be one of the biggest sportsbikes. Just get the 600 rather than the 400 version. The 400 seems to be basically just a sleeved down 600. Thumbs Down 2 kg heavier and 40 odd horses weaker.

Allarmingly it IS thge same, everything apart from the CDI (which is interchangable) and the bore size, hence the extra lump weight...

Still fast enough for most and trackdays are not out of the realm of possibility...

As far as tall bikes... bmws tend to sit taller folk comfortably (ever met a short german?) trials and "dual sport" bikes the same... you can jack the suspension up on most bikes (i think) even then you might feel like a bear rideing a chinchilla...

Get a day off, go to your local friendly bike showroom and have a sit on a few, if they wont let you your in the wrong shop. nb, dont take any money or means of paying, you might end up impulse buying Very Happy Come back with a list of some you like and everyone will rip em to bits or reccomend one Thumbs Up
