Thats right folks, you may remember a few weeks ago i got stopped in york city centre for doing nothing other than accellerating hard with my race can on, a T5 stopped me and did me for speeding and due care and attention. I hadnt done anything wrong, the copper was abusive towards me verbally, and i thought "sod this, im going to complain".

So i did. Wrote letter to Chief Superintendant and he confirmed receipt to me and passed it higher up the chain.

Anyway, got a phone call last night from the Boss of the officer who stopped me. He had questioned the officer about the pull, and he had admitted he did lose his rag with me and offend me. They have spoken between themselves, and his boss offered me this solution.

"I have spoken to this officer in question, he wishes to send his apologies for the disgraceful way he conducted himself. He also wishes to let you know he WILL NOT be persuing the matter any further in relation to the charges brought against you. I trust this is the end of the matter?

So basically black mail... if i drop the complaint, they drop the charges.

Sounds good to me!

Cool

Good news... Sounds like this copper might have a bit of a dodgy record then as I reckon if yours had been the first complaint they wouldn't have been so ready to apologise.

The officer was probably well aware you really broke no law. He's probably got personal issues at this time. Yeah, bring an end to it mate, means they get off lightly but who needs the hassle eh?

Good result! Thumbs Up

It sounds like a fair exchange to me, although God help you if you ever get the same copper pull you again if you're in the wrong! Laughing

He is probably hunting you down as we speak, waiting in the bushes for that brief second you let your self control go and the engine burbles up to 4k RPM and then he will have his revenge. Twisted Evil

On a serious note. nice one Thumbs Up
