Hiya all,

Been a while, hope everyone is good, well and keeping busy!

Basic story is, I'm buying myself a new bike as a "passing the course present", and I'm a little stuck as to which one to go for.

I'm looking to part ex my current R6, for an '04 600. Now that the '05 bikes are comming out hopefully the '04 ones will be a bit cheaper.

I'm torn between the CBR600RR and he Ninja, can you guys and gals give me your opinion which bike is the best, bearing in mind im a shorty! I like the wacky looks of the Ninja, and like that its apparently more loony, but the CBR600RR is stunning, but also more expensive, is it worth the extra cash?

All thoughts apreciated greatly!
Cheers,
Cougs. Very Happy

I say test ride the both of them. I'm sure everyone else will say the same. I like the ninja myself. Although I haven't ridden the new one. I haven't ridden any CBR at all. I want to buy an 03/04 ninja next year but I'm going to test ride a few others just to be sure it's what I want.

If you want to ride faster, I'd say spend some money riding your bike (just fuel, or trackdays etc). You will not only improve your own skill but be able to make much more use of your bike.. in my opinion a better way than buying a more expensive bike.

If you are more interested in the looks and casual riding, go for the one that looks/feels best for you. While the magazines make big of the differences, in the end, there's not that much difference between them.

Its each to their own with the new 600's I'd say.

Go for the one you like the best and can get a good price on.

Ninjas and GSXR's are going for £5,500 new, I think the R6 is a bit above that but the CBR is holding its retail price well. That makes it nearly £1.5k more expensive, is it worth 25% more ?
