Anyone got any good recommendation for bike trailers? From time to time I see a few pop up on ebay but I've never really found anywhere that does them.

I'm seriously considering getting myself a trackbike over the winter - something for around £1500 - on the basis that it'd probably cost almost that much if I binned my bike on the track (which will happen sooner or later). Obviously something to carry it to tracks on would be an advatage.

I just asked my girlfriend if I could use her bike:
"Can I convert your bike-"
"PISS OFF!"

Put me right in my place... Laughing

After using a few, my best advice would be to get your car fully loaded with all the stuff (and people) you might take with you. Try and get a 'test drive' with a bike on the trailer you're looking at.
Different trailer's seem to work differently with different cars etc.

Make sure you get a bit of motorway/dual carrigeway in.

Though if you're only looking at a single bike trailer, these tend to be a bit more stable I think.

I'd say get the lightest trailer you can get away with, and make sure the nose weight is correct on it - i.e. there is slightly more weight over the front of the axle than the rear when loaded, although you can cheat this by strapping spare wheels/tyres/jerrycans to balance things out. The heavier your car the better it will handle towing, and I'd also really recommend one of these things... They're designed for caravans but I fitted one to my bike trailer and it really settles it allowing for high speed towing.
