I've just been of the phone to Bendy, and Jay and herself had both had off's this morning. Shocked

Fortunately no-one is hurt and the bikes aren't too badly damaged. Thumbs Up

more updates will be on here later no doubt;

The question is did bendy put her other fairings on like she said, or did apathy rule and did she go with her road ones on.

Sods law if she did. Sad

Hope they are both OK, and hope there is not too much damage.

Hope Jay can hide the damage before he gets home.

All the best

I've heard that G has managed to 'magic' up a footpeg hanger for Bendy so the bike is fit to go again. Thumbs Up

I'm not sure if she want's to go out again.

Know the feeling when you come off, even with minimum injurys you still are shaken for a while.

But main thing they are ok! Thumbs Up

Awww. Was it wet up there? Just wondering because was it a simple loss of grip or just rider error? Or do we just not know what caused it? Smile

oops, shame she didn't put the fairings on too, as long as both are ok and bikes aren't too bad then at least they can say it could've been worse.

Unlucky. But like the general concensus - glad to hear that the riders are generally fine, and that damage to the bikes doesn't sound too bad.

Apathy wins!

Got a replacement mushroom yesterday and went to fit it last night. I knew the old one was a wee bit bent from the previous owner dropping it, but on actual removal I found it was completely cross threaded and had broken off part of the fairing behind it as well as having partly stripped the thread in the hole (same as we discovered on the other side). The bolt was crossed into the spacer so much that I just had to yank it though the hole in the panel instead of being able to unscrew it, and there's a perfectly circular piece of fairing trapped in between. New shroom is fitted but isn't as tight as it should be cos half the thread is missing.

So, if I'd taken it off to change to the track panels, I'd have had a loose mushroom which probably wouldn't have taken the hit as well as the bent wedged one did. And I've basically buggered a panel that was already a bit buggered.

The knackered thread's not a biggie to fix, as I said we discovered a similar thing on the left hand side, but whoever fitted those mushrooms in the first place made a right hash of it. Rolling Eyes

Have changed the tail and the undamaged left panel for Snetterton on Saturday though. Wink
