Hello

I'm looking at getting new breakdown cover as I have had a disagreement with the AA, and their lack of service. But that is a rant in itself.

I was wondering who you guys used as I need cover for both my cars and my bikes. So would be a personal type cover. My insurance companies are unfortunatly not offering any details with breakdown cover.

Please feel free to recommend web sites as well.

Cheers

PS I know this may not be the best place but it is bike related.

Thank you

I'm affraid i'd normaly say the aa is your best bet tbh... allthough it depends on where your unfortunate enough to break down...

I only see whatever as a way of getting tools to do a roadside bodge in the worst situation, and at the absoloute worst getting the bike and me somewhere more habitable than a ditch in the middle of nowhere...

From what i had heared the aa seemed to have the fastest reaction times and were the bit more likely to be able to deal with takeing a bike wherever...

If you have a phone and a mate with trailer in reach then i guess it would do well enough Razz

Know few BCF members with them and have their cover which covers you not a specific vehicle and have used them with no problems. Thumbs Up

Isn't that the Gerry Anderson one with the puppets? Laughing

A car and bike combined policy is a little trickier to arrange, the RAC might be an option. Never tried them myself, but a few friends have.

I've found internation brekdown are better for bikes than the AA or RAC... they always send a flat bed. So they can always get you home. Also don't charge extra after an accident, will cover you if you're a passenger and includes cover for trailers.

Hi

We are with Direct Line who do cover bikes but do not advertise it. Went to them after the RAC left me sitting at the side of the road for 4 hours (we got 3 months extra membership free for their uselessness, but trusted them so little that we took out alternative cover as well).

All the best

Keith
