Just got my tickets for the NEC Bike show this year and a few people who have been previous years said to hold off on buying a jacket as the trade stands at the NEC have really cheap jackets for sale, has anyone purchased/seen these trade stands ?

I take it you've never been before then?

There's plenty of clothing/etc stands around. It can be a bit of pot luck as to what you can get but there's usually some cheap stuff about.

Just like all the other shows, the NEC is a mixed bag. Sometimes you score a brilliant bargain, sometimes you get what you pay for. There are great deals to be had, just choose well, some things are cheap for a reason.

Yeah I have bought loads of stuff from the trade stands there. The show organisers want to crack down on it, because it isn't a car boot sale, its a Bike show.

If the trade stands are there this year then I would say that it would be worth holding off. The kit is usually last years old stock and perfectly OK, just not in this year's colours or whatever.

However there are always better bargains at the 'road racing and superbike show' at Ally Pally. I think this is now called 'The London Motorcycle show'.

This is usually held in January. Smile

I hope to find some bargains this year, it will be the first time I have ever gone. I hope to find some reasonably priced boots and waterproof Cordura trousers. Smile
