firstly how old are you ?
and i think the law states it has to be restricted to 33bhp (basicly 250cc) u can go to anydealer really, and get them to do it or buy a restriction kit, i say get them to do it, then u wont fuck it up. not too expencive, but if u but a gixxer new, they will most likeley restrict it for you

but a lot of austrians ride 2 stroke 250cc which are above the power:weight restriction

It depends on what the power to weight ratio is. It's pointless getting a bigger heavier bike like the GSXR600 and restricting the power out of it then. In the UK to meet the power restrictions we buy kits from FI International, I don't know if there is a similar company out there. Best solution I'd expect is to ask a bike shop as they'll know.
Why do you call it the 250 restriction if it's nothing to do with 250cc?  |
