Lost my seat cowl on the motorway, absolutly pissed down and somehow managed to fuck up my visor (dont worry there is a point to this)

Anyone ever hear of the surface of an iridium visor being scratched off by...rain water? I mean i put my helmet on..it started raining, when i got home a 2x7cm rectangle looked like someones had a wall paper stripper on it.

If anyone could shed any light on this i'd really appreciate it. I'm gonna see if i can get myself a new visor out of it but then legally i shouldn't of been on the road with it so i can see them trying to fob me off.

Funnily enough I've heard of somebody else with an SV that's lost the seat cowl while hammering it down a motorway... As for the visor you can get them on manufacturing quality, say you were using it in daylight on a track (like they say you're meant to) and it rained - and show them the damage. If they refuse to fix mention trading standards Laughing

Crying or Very sad I have actually heard of this visor problem before.....

did you wipe the visor quite a few times with your hand on the way home? someone wrote into MCN ages ago complaining of this problem and the reply was that "the frayed edges on a glove can sometimes be sharp or abrasive and damage irridium visors...." (or something to that effect)
Race black visors dont seem to be affected though... Rolling Eyes
