Well for £1300 I am sure you could find an older CBR600 or ZZR600.
Bikes like the FZR etc have more sporty riding positions and as such aren't a sports tourer.

Other bikes you should look out for are the RF600 and GSX600F, both of which should be in your price range.

Here's a few I found on Ebay etc in your area:

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9807&item=2495313407&rd=1

If you give me your postcode or a local postcode I will glady look for you as I have abit of spare time Wink.

FZR600 doesn't have a sporty riding position, it's very similar to that of the ZZR600, and more upright than a CBR600.

If that FZR600 is say a late '93 or 94 onwards then you will find it to be a good buy, assuming its not been mashed.

They are pretty pokey for an old bike. Also I feel the riding position is about the same as a CBR. However I've only ever sat on a couple of CBRs.
