As the post says, any londoners or you Hert's lot fancy a ride out? I'm taking weather will be good enough for a nice razz. Smoto, you gonna bring that 125 field bike out for a spin? Time to bring out those winter hacks Wink

I'm just looking into that myself.

Anyone recommend any good routes from London type area, perhaps north from there for a change.

I was thinking Sunday morning, go out grab lunch and ride back different way.

Some ideas popping up in IRC,
Henley,
Wallingford - Reading

I don't mind really, just be nice to actually ride rather than stand around talking all day.

Cheers

Had a recce of the route - and all seems okay Wink - at least the oxfordshire stretch is.

C'mon - any other 125'ers Crying or Very sad , i don't want to be the only lil tyke playing with the big boys Razz

Just got back from the ride with Swaffs - very nice roads - i.e. the scenic route to oxford from Windsor - if only weather was brighter, then it would have been a laugh with more people - still proof is that a 4 stroke 125 can still cut it with a mighty CBR (Ok, we rode at a gentle pace) and has the reliability to go the full distance - i can't imagine what it would have been like with an RS though Crying or Very sad . Anyway, just got back, shame some couldn't make it - gives me more experience as a wet weather rider and also a kick up the arse to do my test ASAP! BTW - my fingers have turned blue after riding continuously in the rain and as i'm typing this, i'm getting chillblanes;

Swaffs, my e-mail is Titot01@aol.com if you want to send me the pics

Cheers

Titot

I'll try and make it next time, since I live just outside Oxford. I didn't crawl out of bed until 12 o'clock though after a heavy night on the Stellas...

Nice rideout, a little wet but still fun.

It was nice to meet Titot, shame a few others couldn't make it.

Not really much chance for pitures but I took a couple.

We started at Lego land, however didn't really get chance to say hello as we were moved on immediately after stopping.
So we headed to Henly and stopped for a cuppa and a bite to eat,

https://www.swaffs.co.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/Henly1.jpg

After that a little ride to Wallingford and then stopped for a quick stretch and an attempt at some photo's Confused

Then down to Reading and back home, still raining but enjoyed myself anyway.

Glad you had fun.

Would have come, but I had a splitting headache when I woke up this morning, which now seems to have developed into a sore throat. Neutral

I personally felt it was a good distance, and could have even gone further.

Seems mad to drag myself out of London, just to go 20 miles in a circle.

Meh, once weather's good, can always try to meet up with the guys from the west in an ideal location - say, somewhere in the Cotswolds? Wink Still, i don't know when i'll have a job worthy of paying for an SV or any other sportster 600s.

Did you go dirttracking at hastings then Bob?
