Hey folks,

I went to adjust the clutch lever height on my handlebars, as atm it was at the wrong angle... I wanted to "rotate" the whole thing downwards...

Anyway I went to remove the bolt that clamps the clutch lever assembly to the handlebars and it instantly snapped. About half of the bolt (inc the head) fell out and the remaining half is inside the lever assembly.

The lever is therefore floppy and rotates freely around the handlebar.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

Just loctite it to the bar?

You need to get the bit of bolt out and replace it. They are usually just a simple clamp with a bolt either side. You will probably find that if you take the clamp off altogetherm there is enough of a 'stub' left above the casting to either get some mole grips on or hacksaw a slot in it and remove with a screwdriver.

Failing that, drill a small pilot hole down the centre of the bolt and hammer an old torx bit into said hole, you can usually unscrew it using this.
