Hi as you guys know my coil gave up the ghost (at least i hope its the coil) but its got some crazy mounting pitch which is making replacing a bit of a pain in the tits to get it replaced.

It has a mounting pitch of 57mm (i think, roughly that anyway) and a dr350 is something like 60mm, and there is another coil that is 55mm i think. But replacement seems destined to cause me agro.

Anyone got any advice?

Ps their is a number on the coil incase you know what to do with it, it is;

F6T533 and oddly enough the Mazda symbol (i believe it is the mazda symbol, 3 diamonds coming from a central locus into a triangle shape).

Any way any help would be grately apreciated. Specially since i get unbanned tomoro at 12 and it would be ncie to have the beast working again Very Happy

Hi

Sounds like the Mitsubishi logo.

Think 56mm is quite a common size for coils.

All the best

Where could i get one quickly and easily? Money isnt /that/ great a worry, a week quicker Vs a fiver cheaper if you know what i mean.
Also do they come with HT leads attached as the one from the goose is a tad odd.

Regards

Richard

If it's got a mitsubishi logo on it, and it has a part number, try ringing your local Mitsubishi dealership and ask if they have them in stock.

That, or call your local Partco/Halfords etc and ask for a coil that matches but is not factory equipment.

Alternatively, have you tried ringing your bike dealership to ask if they can get you one or have one in stock???

Just a thought. Rolling Eyes Wink

Hi

I have seen them in the M&P catalogue, but they were ones for 2 plug leads. They came without leads.

You need to make sure that the resistance through the coil is correct compared to what should be on the bike. Some bikes do not appreciate the wrong coils (eg, early FZ750 will fry the cdi unit if you fit the later coils).

All the best

Keith
