Hi,
Is it possible to fit my snooper(speed camera detector) to a bike? At the mo it's in my car powered through the lighter but it can be hard wired in too.

I don't speed but I just want to know when there's sneaky coppers around or hidden cameras.

Thanks

You'd think with how dependant the police are on the funds from those cameras that radar detectors would be illegal. Thinking

Is it one of those S4 ones? Or something like that? If so, my lady has one in her car which came with a hardwire kit and instructions for use with and fitting to a motorbike.
In fact, it has an earphone socket for precisely this purpose I think?

The only rader & laser detector which I could find when I was looking for one earlier this year was the "Bel 996R Bike". The way it indicates it's detected something was flashing LED's which weren't really bright enough to catch your attention if you're not longing at them so I recommend getting one.

Most, if not all speed camera and radar detectors are now legal in the UK, and I seem to remember Road Angel having a bike mounting kit so yes it is possible to fit one on a bike.
The only thing is it may pick up even more interference as I was in a car recently with one installed and it was set off by automatic doors, and the sensors at pedestrian crossings etc, quite annoying I can tell you.

Also the only ones that are illegal are the ones that jam radar guns operated by a police officer.

Hope that helps, Craig.
