look here
https://www.apriliaforum.com
There a few rs50's in usa with different engines, a RM125 and a wr450 conversion.
Or you could tune the 50 engine, lots of bits around 75cc kits, exhausts, 21mm carb etc. |

Hi
Not sure how old your RS is.
On the older ones the frame is steel (think the newer ones are alloy, but not sure). The steel frame is easier in one way as you can easily weld brackets on. However there is not that much spare and you will have a nightmare of a job trying to get a suitable rear sprocket to take any extra power. Think they use a 420 chain which is tiny. Going for a larger chain would mean a different rear sprocket and the standard one is unusual due to the splines in the middle because of the single sided swinging arm.
Also the chassis is fairly crude.
Given the costs involved I would say it would be a hell of a lot cheaper to buy a 125 (and it is easy to fit a Rotax 257, 250cc single engine into an early RS125).
Mind you something that looks like a 50 but goes damn quick could be amusing, but the problem there is that the RS50 does not (to the uninitiated) look like a 50.
All the best
