At work today, was unloading stock from one of the shops on the high street and these two bikes were over the road, i go in the shop with my collegue to collect a tv and while we are carrying it out the two bikes drive off, (naturally i was watching) the first guy did a u'y and pulled away then his mate did the same but lost his ballance and dropped it smack in the middle of the road. i couldn't run over and help straight away because i was clutching a 36" Tv, but to my amazement, everyone else that was walking on the pavement just stared and kept walking, not one bastard bothered to run and help the poor guy. it was only when i got the tv to the Van a couple of minutes later i ran over and gave him a hand picking it up.

People are so cold now adays Sad .

Very true, no bugger helped me after I was beaten up one day except for a couple of passing bikers. Every one else just carried on with their pathetic little lives.

If you can't pick it up, you shouldn't be riding it. Hang on, you've always got the RAC!

I disagree. I can't pick up either of my two bigger bikes up if they have luggage on them. The trick is not to drop them in the first place.

Did you know one of the easiest bikes to pick up off the road is a Goldwing. You just rock the back wheel onto the road and press the electric reverse, the bike pulls itself back onto its wheels.

Some I knew with a full-dress electra glide got pretty worried as he started to feel it go. It fell all of about 10 or 15 degrees onto the low (hard) panniers and sat there Smile.
