Good race, i would have liked to seen something like the new R1 or the ZX10 against it but the duke kicks arse and sounds awesome.

Cool, i'll be able to watch it in about 5 hours time when it stps downloading.

EDIT: Ok seen it, i thought that they could've got a different bike to race it, like one that most people could afford, E.G. a GSXR 1000/750. Still very impressive.

AS opposed to a car most people could afford? Smile

If you're buying new the standard 999 isn't /that/ much more anyway.

Over here it's about $10,000 more. You can do alot with $10,000.

The list price of the ducati over here is £11250, while the list prices of the 1000cc bikes are just over £9000. While you could do a lot with that money, I suspect the people paying that much for a new bike in the first place don't see it quite like that Smile.</justifies>

Thats my local circuit on anglesey. The track is rather tight and twisty when compaed to the larger english circuits.

Was happy to see the 999 beat the lambo, but the 999 wasnt a great choice really? I guess the track is tight, but an R1/GSXR1000/Fireblade/ZX10 would have been quicker and cheaper!

Still...

Ok i give up, theres just no arguing with some people Laughing . The new GSXR's make more power and are quicker anyway.

Stick a Husky 570SMR racebike (supermoto) on that test and the car would be lagging quite a bit further behind....

Stick a [insert name of road race bike] and they'd both be lagging behind probably Smile.

Supermoto would beat most bikes around the track

I disagree.

Otherwise supermotos would be racing and winning in supersport 600s etc Smile.

I presume they use different track layouts, but some laptimes I found (hard to find for supermoto) suggested that 1:11 was ok. Best in rookie 600s this year was 1:06!

Generally road-race bikes are going to be faster on all but the most twisty slow tracks.

SM layout (roughly) i know they cant use the rally cross part for the whole off road section, as they build jumps into it.
