Ah well, another 8-9 months elapse leaving us with the boredom of racing-free winter. It was a very lively GP in all clases at Valencia and what's more interesting or intruiging is the re-shuffling of riders:

Bayliss out of a job - but nice ride
Max - going to Repsol
Hodgson - GOING TO AMA Exclamation
Colin Edwards with mr 46 in Yamaha.

I really can't wait to see the new prototypes etc

There must be some other form of motorsports before the boredom of winter kicks in - mind you there's still footie.

Anyway, would like to see your take on this.

All that speculation about Rossi leaving and doing F1 is a load of rubbish. If he's really going to make the point, he has to win the championship on the Yam at least once more. The trouble was with the BBC coverage is that once Rossi got in front, he just pulled away and they didn't show a lot else. Having said that, Rossi really did piss all over the field considering the start he had.

There are Scotland and Wales (rugby) internationals next Saturday on the BBC, against Australia and South Africa if anyone's interested. Thumbs Up

im from austraila, so as soon as rossi got to the front the footage was automatically the biaggi vs bayliss show and we rarely got to see anything of vale.

but it is sad to see bayliss leave ducati, hopefully he'll get signed and stay in motogp.

It's a shame that Hodgson is buggering off to AMA, its almost like he's scared of MotoGP.

Rossi has said 2 years more with Yamaha, then i guess he'll be off to car racing of one sort or another. I can't see him getting into F1 until he's proved himself ina car, and I don't think he can do that in time to still make it into F1.

It should be good for Edwards at Yamha next year, just as long as he can get the bike working for him early on.

Bayliss at Honda? That would be nice.

I'd like to see the Kawasaki's keeping up the progress that they've made the last few races too. It's good to see them off the back.

I like Rossi but you can still see that the Honda is the best bike there is.

Which is why Rossi really is the man. Unlike Formula One, he beats everyone with riding skills, proving that the rider is more important than the machinery. Honda like to think otherwise, but hohum, guess he's proved them wrong, eh? Mr. Green

It sounds like Hodgson's had an awful year, and if there aren't many rides going for him in MotoGP, then the AMA might be a smart move. I seem to recall hearing that Ducati are keen to get a bigger foothold in America, so it might be part of that strategy, assuming Hodgson is riding a Duke... There's supposed to be a lot of money in AMA too Very Happy

yeah, thats true. bayliss went to AMA and it was because of the same reason. ducati want to make it in AMA and the extra money for bayliss would be a good bonus. apparantly, prize money is far greater than BSB, but i don't know if things have changed since then (1999).
what about jezza? is he going to wsb? i think he can still ride fast on the right bike, as he can still qualify well on that aprilia pile Crying or Very sad . they should take a year out and bring something brand new out for 2006 that actually works.
shakey for kawasaki as 3rd rider and bayliss for elias' team mate in yamaha. if that was true, rossi, edwards, bayliss, sounds good! Twisted Evil

Just read his column in Bike and it sounds like he's not too sure what he's doing. Said if Aprilia offered him another ride next season he'd have to think about it but he didn't seem keen. He mentioned it'd be fun to go to BSB and show them all how it's done Laughing so that'd be fun to see.

Now to wait 7 months for MotoGP and F1 (yep I do still watch it for some reason Razz) to come back. Crying or Very sad

I reckon McWilliams should go to BSB, as at least then he'd get better media coverage and more success than being stuck in a rather poor MotoGP team like Aprilia. Is the Aprilia team the official factory team? If so then they really suck, although HRC must have a significantly higher budget. Smile

how about aprilia following honda and going to BSB full support!
we haven't seen an aprilia rsv fully tuned around a british track ever! how about something to beat a ducati, though i doubt there will be many next year.
bsb 2005 is kawasaki's year, no doubt Wink
(sorry its a bit off-topic! maybe jezza should take aprilia to britain with him! sound better?)
