Something thats a distant dream at the moment.

Im a full time student earning 50 pound a week working weekends.

My cbt has run out and i posess a poorly non runner rg 125 i want to sell.

I want to buy a bike that starts and runs fine, no loose panels,no cable ties,no bodges, something i can use and not have to constantely pick around with to stop it from falling to piieces.

I want to do my CBT again and buy a 125 geared bike, preferably non 2 stroke, i want something thats nippy enough and does around 60 - 70 mph. Im into sports styled bikes, tho ill consider anything 2 stroke or 4 stroke but want something reasonably cheap.

Dont want to do my full bike test, trying to do my car one at the moment, failed it twice, got the 3rd in a few weeks Embarassed Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad

Shall i look for a older NSR again? i had one before i love them bikes? or shall i look at a 4 stroker? what sort of 125s did they make as four strokers? I just want something for some dry day fun we usually have in these crisp winters, sunday was a nice day but a bit fresh Shocked im heavily into modified cars, i have a fully modified fiesta, you kno, big rims, sound system to make your ears sore and your eyes water etc Laughing

any opinions? sorry i do blabber on Embarassed

I'd go for an older NSR, you can pick them up for ~£700-800, and as long as it's looked after it will be reliable.

Well, the NSR for £700 will look faster off the lights and up to about 60 than max power cars and costs substantially less. Razz

Isn't that what a chav is? I'm seriously confused. Can someone explain what a chav is once and for all?

a nippy 125 4 stroke is a bit of a contradiction.

I had a go on a cg125 yesterday after being on my 2 stroke mz for a few weeks. It has almost EXACTLY the same top speed, but my mz will get there in 15 seconds, whereas the cg will take about 25ish.

In my mind I'd get a 2 stroke, if it's treated right it'll be just as reliable and you'll have much more fun.

An oldish NSR would be fine if you can afford insurance.

I can drive. I like cars.

But I like go, not show. Modified cars are horrible, fiestas are nasty little things, and subs are silly.

Dislike 125s too.

I get less grumpy when I see chinese schoolgirls with no panties on.

I despise boy racer cars. So much. Age is no excuse.

On the merc forum I go to someone was showing off their C180 with neons and the rest. Its slower than a saxo, and they made it look worse than one too.

However, the link on here a while back of the 1.3 escort with the cossie engine and 4x4 running gear, thats hardcore.

You call that sound, mate you don't have shit!

Try having 13 of those subs except wider, stronger and a hell of a lot louder plus 6 amps, Now that goes off.

As for the bike, go the NSR. Its a little ripper.

You do realise that someone has stuck a load of plastic crap all over your car? Was that some chavs or something on Haloween, and did the people who did that to that poor Fiesta get caught? Shocked

Try getting a proper engine, and leaving the exterior stock. People won't laugh at you so much then.

This is opposite of the point of sleepers, or actually doing up a car properly. If you are just putting tons of plastic crap all over the car, all you care about is what people think of you. All the sensible people will think you're a twat, but if you're a chav, then you'll only care about what other chavs think. As these people are invariable mentally subnormal, they all think it's rather cool. Rolling Eyes

If you want to do a car up properly, fine polish it, mend all the bodywork, get it looking beautiful, but only as the manufacturer intended. All it should look like is the original car. This leads the chav cars to believe that it's a pissy little crappy car who is trying to rise above their station. Then the chavs, not being very smart and all, succumb to the battered old Escort revving it's engine, and get smoked off the line.

Why make your car look fast, unless it is? It is designed the way it looks to begin with to match its speed. If you only care about what the local slappers think of it so you can (recreate chavsex), then I think you've missed the point. Though then and again I guess you wouldn't get pulled for kerb crawling, and they wouldn't cost anything. Laughing If you do it because you enjoy it, then all props to you. I don't think this is the case on the whole though.

The companies selling the stereo systems and modification pieces for cars must be laughing all the way to the bank. You have to be thicker than a very thick plank/ (railway sleeper maybe) to think that spending huge sums of money on a stereo system is going to make your car better. Similarly, spending huge amounts of money on bodykits. They sometimes look okayish, but generally are very overdone, hugely aerodynamically inefficient, and you might as well just write "PULL ME, PIGS!" on the back of your car.

If you look at a proper sportscar, things are designed not only to look good, but primarily things are there to perform a function. If they're not needed, they're generally not there. A Lotus Elise will beat the crap out of most any chav car, and it is comparatively simple in terms of outward bodyshape, and guess what, it is actually a cool car.

If you want a cool car, don't spend 10,000s of pounds convincing yourself that your shit car is cool, BUY A COOL CAR!!!

Rant ends. Twisted Evil
