 |
|
once again here we go
calling anyone who has fitted one of these single seat units to their bike, the type that is just a single piece
am i missing something, what is the method to put them on
because its fibreglass, there is sod all (a few cm) of movement in the unit, and i cant see how it will go around the frame in order to slot into place, its not like moving a few loom components will change anything, we are talking about the actual frame
i've tried all sorts of angles and approaches, and i cant see anyway that it goes on
my question is, are this company taking the piss?
any advice appreciated ____________________ So in other words, he stopped you for being flagrantly in posession of a motorcycle in direct contravention of the Hippies, Darkies and People Whose Face I Don't Like The Look of (Police Powers) Act. 1976 |

According to www.skidmarx.co.uk;
INDIVIDUALLY STYLED TO GIVE THAT RACE TRACK LOOK. These fit with all std. bodywork in place and without modification. They fit either by by replacing or clipping over the pillion seat pad.
I always thought their seat cowl's went over the original seat. Sure you got the right model? ____________________ Swaffs Photography |

I think he means the whole rear fairing, not a seat cowl |

They do go on, but not easily. Plenty of bending, stretching and swearing needed ____________________ 3516 Miles, 11 Countries |

How well does it fit, or even better if someone knows how well the RVF400 ones fit *cough* Korn *cough*. I've being looking into some for the RVF theres some nice ones in Japan to be had but theres the slight problem of the company i like are only small and speak very very little english, so i wondered if the skidmarx one was worth considering. ____________________ VAG Cars - www.vagcars.co.uk - North East VAG Owners Club |

the holes lined up, ish, which was nice, we had to completely remove one big block of loom crap to get te thing on, and its so tight underneath, that it isnt going back onto its mount, its just kinda stuffed under
its nice to have a tidy looking back end again, and it stands out a lot, could be useful!
the space, was bugger all anyway, and as the rear seat was taped in place for the past 3 months, cant say i missed it all that much, my map pocket can hold about the same kinda stuff ____________________ So in other words, he stopped you for being flagrantly in posession of a motorcycle in direct contravention of the Hippies, Darkies and People Whose Face I Don't Like The Look of (Police Powers) Act. 1976 |
