Being lazy I'd love to just order a bettery that I know will fit my bike.

My FZR is down as £19.99 plus delivery for a battery.

So, anybody used these people?
Are they any good?

they dont come with acid btw so you will need to get it filled with acid not distilled water.

Some do come with acid.

The last one I got came with a pack of acid. There are 6 holes in the top of the battery, you push the acid pack onto this and it breaks the protective seal on top of the acid. Let it drain in and then seal with the supplied lid bit (once it's sealed it's then considerd a proper 'sealed' battery).

Depends on the battery, but some do not come with acid. I have some spare battery acid from batteries I have bought in the past.

If you want a battery then I might have an FZR one spare. I thought mine needed one but a new battery just proved that it is a pig to start. You can have the old one if you want. Probably a year or so life left in it.

Hey kickstart, I'd be happy to pay you for it, you can see how much a new one will cost me.

As I've posted previously its definitely the battery. It turns over for about 15 seconds now then really dies. Either way, the very second a car battery is hooked up the FZR starts within a second of pressing the starter.

Well, if it aint too much trouble PM me so we can see if something can be arranged.

Then again mate, think twice. Right now I can see a real advantage to keeping a spare battery like that which you have now, so consider that your chance to back out. Thumbs Up

I keep a spare car battery around!

From memory the new one was actually quite cheap. I ws susprised. Think it was under £20 from Chells.

Cheers keith, in the end I popped to my local bike shop and got one for £20. Who can complain at that price eh?

It may be my imagination, but I think the bike is idling better with this new battery. Lets just hope it stays that way.

Out of interest the FZR Haynes manual states the alternator does not start putting out it full potential of 21 amps till the revs hit 5000rpm so I imagine this bike is pretty rough on its battery.
