Hey all, at my local garage i spotted a GSXR 250 for £500. Seems ok condition, didnt have a tesride or anything. I know the little beasties make a tad over 33 bhp (45 or summit) due to being inline 4's. Assume they are pains for maintenance.

But anyone got any other info? Problems, things to look out for etc etc? Anyone owned one? Are they any good? This one looked like a slightly stunted transalp with better wheels/forks etc.

Just to reiterate, its a damn near 18 year old, small cc inline 4. Could be dodgy.

I think i will stick with the goose. Just as dodgy. But still cool. Plus im kinda enjoying fixing it. Ish.

weak engine....thats about it. I dont mean weak as in power, I mean weak as in top ends can go etc. Usually about the 20k mark so I hear.

Its an import, which is hard for parts, and being an OLD import it'll be even arder for parts.

I looked into getting one of these as a project bike a while ago, it was very hard for parts so I decided against it in the end, too much of an effort to be put in to even get an air filter.
