Well i spent yesterday morning getting the engine out of my ZZR, basically when i went to change one of the plugs the other day half of it snapped off, it's the bottom half aswell just below the bolt Mad . So i'll have to strip it all down and get to it from the inside.

Does piss me off as it's just over a spark plug Evil or Very Mad .

Done it all by myself in a few hours, the engine is bloody heavy to lift by yourself Neutral .

This is how the bike looks at the moment Crying or Very sad .

Bad luck mate, but you should just look at it from the point of view that you are learning things and doing things to your bike that most people wouldn't even attempt.

Good on ya! The knowledge you gain will be invaluable! Smile

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

So are you taking the head off to try and unscrew the spark plug?

You could just drill into it a bit and drive it out with an easy-out or similar.

I'm not going to start stripping the engine until i get the gaskets through which may take a while ( 90 odd quid for a top end gasket set and over 100 quid for a full Shocked ).

Well as MarJay said i am learning a lot as i'm going along, i thought it was going to be very difficult as i'm used to 2 strokes but with a haynes manual handy i'm quite confident Smile .

It's the bottom part of the spark plug (the thread bit) that's left in there, the main problem is the plug hole is very deep and hard to get anything down to it.
